Terms & conditions

The basis on which we provide quotations, carry out construction work and operate this website.

About these terms

These terms apply to the use of this website and to quotations and enquiries made through it. Weir Construction Group is based at Salisbury Ave, Chesterfield S41 8PQ. You can reach us on 07891 214075 or at info@weirconstructiongroup.co.uk.

Where we are engaged to carry out work, a separate written quotation and contract documents set out the agreed scope, price, programme and payment terms for that project. Those documents take precedence over anything on this website.

Website content

We take care to keep the information on this site accurate and current, but it is provided for general guidance. Service descriptions, processes, timescales and technical explanations are indicative and will vary with the property, the design and site conditions.

Nothing on this site is a quotation, a fixed price or professional design advice. Prices, timescales and specifications for your project are confirmed only in a written quotation issued after a site visit.

Enquiries and quotations

Submitting an enquiry form does not create a contract. We will contact you to discuss the project and, where it is suitable for us, arrange a survey and issue a written itemised quotation.

Quotations are based on the scope described in them and on the information available at the time. Changes you request, or conditions that could not reasonably have been foreseen before opening up the structure, are priced and confirmed in writing before the affected work proceeds.

Quotations remain valid for the period stated on the quotation itself.

Carrying out the work

Work is carried out in accordance with the agreed drawings and specification, the Building Regulations and applicable British Standards. Where statutory approvals such as planning permission, building regulations approval or party wall awards are required, the quotation states who is responsible for obtaining them.

Structural, electrical and gas works are inspected and certified as required, and relevant certificates are issued on completion.

Guarantees and insurance

Structural projects are covered by an underwritten, transferable 10-year structural guarantee, subject to the terms of the guarantee documentation issued for your project.

We hold £10M insurance cover, and certificates are available on request. Manufacturer warranties on products and appliances are passed to you and are governed by the manufacturer's own terms.

Intellectual property

The text, images, logos and layout of this website belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied, republished or used commercially without our written permission.

Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general website content rather than a written quotation, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Liability in respect of contracted work is as set out in the contract documents for that project.

Third-party content and links

This site includes embedded content such as a Google map and a review feed, and links to third-party websites. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it or for the privacy practices of those providers.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from use of this website.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you use the site is the version that applies.
